Some of you may know the game as“cornhole”. Regardless of what you call it, the league is a first of its kind, offering fun and a challenging atmosphere.The League will take place on Fridays from 6:30pm – 8:30pm at the UNICO Building, located in West Springfield’s Mittineague Park (1 UNICO Way). The cost will be $25 per person. All game boards and bags will be provided.
Players must be 18 years or older. Teams must have no less than two players and only two players can play in any given round. Each Friday, play will be the best of three rounds. A common set of rules will guide all play.

Stay fit, strengthen your muscles and recreate with a group of friends by playing Adult Coed Volleyball. This recreational volleyball program consist of two games per week and will begin the week of March 20, 2017 and run until mid-May. Get a group of friends together and play in a laid back, fun-filled league! Emphasis in on FUN, no standings are kept! Games are held at the West Springfield Middle School Gym.
Please note that the Park & Recreation Department reserves the right to subsititue instructors, alternate facilites and change progamming dates as necessary.
Learn Hatha Yoga and Matt Pilates techniques along with controlled deep breathing for total well being and health for mind and body. Helps improve and increase corrdination, increase range of motion, increase muscle strength and total body alignment. Bring mat and comfortable clothing. Get a great and fun aerobic workout designed to improve cardiovascular endurance, burn fat, tone muscles and increase flexiblity. Classes are for all levels of ablitiy on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, 6:30 - 7:30p.m. on the dates below. Classes are held in the UNICO Building, 1 UNICO Way in Mittineague Park. This Summer Clark Field Track will be Open Mornings 6:00a.m. to 8:00a.m.
for Public Walking & Running!
Summer 2017 Dates TBD!
The track will be open daily 6:00AM – 8:00AM for public walking and running.
Please note the following rules that apply regarding the use and protection of Clark Field
(A Park and Recreation Staff member will be on site to monitor track usage)
Athletic shoes only
NO metal cleats
NO sharp objects (tent stakes, corner flags)
NO dragging objects across turf lift and carry or roll all equipment
NO spectators allowed on turf or track
NO food or drinks or liquids other than water on turf or track
NO sunflower seeds, chewing gum
NO tobacco products of any kind
NO pets on inside gates, on turf or track
NO open flames on turf or track
NO bicycles, skateboards or unapproved vehicles
NO practices or play on the main field (walking or running only)
Anyone found in violation of the rules will be asked to leave the Field Immediately.

Indoor Track Walking/Jogging Program
The West Springfield Park & Recreation Department is excited to announce that the indoor track located above the West Springfield High School Gymnasium, at 425 Piper Road, will be open to the general public during specific hours listed below. The distance around the upper track is 1/8th of a mile, 8 revolutions is equal to one mile. West Springfield residents are asked to adhere to the following rules & regulations in order to utilize the track.
Rules & Regulations:

Walkers & Joggers must have valid West Springfield ID to sign in with the gym supervisor on duty.

Sneakers/walking shoes only, no cleats or shoes with heels allowed.

The track is not to be utilized for viewing activities in the gymnasium – NO SPECTATORS
-
No food or beverages allowed on the track except water in a plastic container.

Track usage at West Springfield High School through the Park & Recreation is open to W.S. Residents ages 14 years and up. (Children 13 & under may walk or jog alongside a participating parent.)

Only walkers and joggers are allowed on the track.

Restrooms are located on the first floor lobby gym area.

Using any other areas of the high school is NOT PERMITTED.
