“Operation Santa” Application Now Available

 

Applications are currently being accepted for the “Operation Santa” program that is sponsored by the West Springfield Park & Recreation Department. 

 

This program distributes food baskets and toys to needy families in West Springfield.  The toys and gifts are available to children ages 15 and younger in families where the Christmas Season might be less joyful without this assistance.  Townspeople, along with business and community groups are among those who contribute to this program. 

 

Applications, with income guidelines, are available for pick up at the West Springfield Boys and Girls Club, West Springfield Senior Center, Principal’s Office of all public schools, St. Thomas School, the Municipal Office Building Reception Area, the Park & Recreation Department Office and the Community Development Office, 389 Main Street.

This year, the food baskets and gifts will be delivered on Saturday, December 17th,  using the services of Townspeople and High School Students.  Deadline to submit an application is November 11, 2016.

Those people to whom gifts will be distributed must have a responsible adult home at the address shown on the application on Saturday morning, December 17, 2016, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon.
